Tai Chi

Tom Hynd began practicing Tai Chi in the mid-1990s after sustaining injuries to both of his shoulder rotators. This practice has successfully maintained his shoulder health. In 2003, while in Vancouver, Tom had the opportunity to meet Dr. Paul Lam from Australia. For the past 20 years, he has been following Dr. Lam's Tai Chi program, which focuses on arthritis and physical health.

He leads a one hour chair TaiChi session on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00. No past experience needed.  These sessions can increase flexibility and strength and improve cardiovascular fitness and is great for your balance.

Yoga

Shelley started yoga when she was in her early 40's to ease lower back pain.  She found yoga was the answer to help with that and so much more.  She did her teacher training in 2012 to learn more about yoga and has enjoyed teaching ever since.  She loves to bring the teachings and healing of yoga to everyone and has been especially enjoying teaching chair yoga to this wonderful seniors group.

A one hour yoga session is scheduled every Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This is chair yoga and the benefits are amazing.  Improves your energy, sleep, strength and balance, stress, to name a few. No sign up required.
